Ten of Disks Interpretations
The Ten of Disks deals with wealth. This is no surprise based on the fact that the 10 of Disks is a deviant of the 10th major arcana card “Fortune”.
Everything is under your belt. All efforts expended manifest into a finalized form. This card signifies intense labor, dedication, craftsmanship, and skill; therefore, it is inclusive of all the intellectual tools and experiences that are responsible for this production. The highest point that can be reached in a practice or project (at least, in the given circumstances).
“Riches and wealth. Completion of material gain and fortune; but nothing beyond: as it were, at the very pinnacle of success. Old age, slothfulness; great wealth, yet sometimes loss in part; heaviness; dullness of mind, yet clever and prosperous in money transactions.” 6
“Wealth. Material prosperity and riches. Completion of material fortune but nothing beyond final solidification unless there is devotion to creativity. Old age. Ill-dignified: Slothfulness. May mean partial loss, dullness of mind with acuity and profit in money transactions. Heaviness.” 5
“Wealth. Malkuth in the suit of Earth. Mercury in Virgo. The Disks have become coins, and are arranged on the Tree of Life, the tenth Disk being larger. The image indicates the futility of material gain.” 5
“Wealth. Mercury in Virgo. Malkuth. The disks have now definitely become coins and are arranged on the Tree of Life. They are stamped with different renderings of the signs of Mercury. This mercurial signature is intended to show that though they appear solid, they are, in reality, fugitive.” 5
Axank’s Dream Recall
July 31—August 01, 2013
I was forging a sword as an apprentice. There were two masters around the forge helping me and another apprentice make our own swords. I picked out a shiny green/black metal that I later pounded/shaved down into a cleaner shape. The other apprentice seemed more skilled. Because I was working with these master blacksmiths I think it totally reflects on how the 10 of Disks is about, not just wealth, but mastery of a skill.
