Seven of Swords Interpretations

The seven of swords is about plans not going accordingly. You may aim to achieve something and in the act of doing it the results turn out not as you would expect. This isn’t to say it’s not worth trying to achieve, but in the end the result desired will not manifest as you may have envisioned it.

In comparison to the five of swords which indicates defeat, the seven of swords implies something more cognitive. The five of swords may regard a situation as fruitless or unjust. The seven of swords tells us the upper hand is quite unwavering, but not to end in failure.

Do not trust fully with the Seven of Swords. Re-evaluate your plans or have a back-up plan for when the first falls through. Be prepared for things to go as you have not prepared them. And, don’t give up.

Additional Interpretations

“Journey by land; in character untrustworthy. Partial success. Yielding when victory is within grasp, as if the last reserves of strength were used up. Inclination to lose when on the point of gaining, through no continuing the effort. Love of abundance, fascinated by display, given to compliments, affronts and insolences, and to spy upon others. Inclined to betray confidences, not always intentionally. Rather vacillatory and unreliable.” 6

“Futility. Unstable effort. Vacilation. Vain striving against opposition too powerful. Partial success by giving up on the brink of winning through lack of energy. Fascination with display. Journey by land. Untrustworthy person.” 5

“Futility. Netzach in the suit of Air. Moon in Aquarius. The card shows six Swords with their hilts in crescent formation. Their points impinge on a much larger upthrusting Sword. Here vacillation and compromise are depicted.” 5

“Futility. Moon in Aquarius. Netzach. The hilts of the swords form a crescent, but the card is a tenuous design to show that the mind is confused and undecided.” 5

Axank’s Dream Recall

April 06-07, 2014
My grand parents we calling to speak with me one morning while I was making my bed but I declined to speak with them and made some excuse to cover it up; There was a water-color assignment in my art class but I didn’t finish it in time. Incompletion and denial are present in these dreams.

A sense of something wanting to be a certain way and then falling short.
