Seven of Disks Thoth Tarot

Seven of Disks Imagery

“7 Disks are arranged in Rubeus with the images of Taurus and Saturn embellished on them. They are surrounded with black, dead vegetation.” 6

Seven of Disks Associations

  • Formula: Netzach of Assiah + Saturn in Taurus = “Failure”
  • Numerical: imbalanced, wild
  • Elemental: Fixed Earth
  • Decan of the Zodiac: May 11-20
  • Sephira: Netzach “Victory”
  • Ruled by Knight of Swords

Seven of Disks Interpretations

You put effort into growing those crops but instead they shriveled. Maybe the soil wasn’t rich enough, maybe the Sun dehydrated them, regardless of the circumstance the crops have failed. This card is just not nice—it takes all the hard work and compensation you might expect, but replaces it with emptiness.

Sevens, ruled by The Chariot, often deal with control and the fight for victory (hence Netzach). The Chariot is drawn by wild forces of nature, which if improperly managed, can cause problems and in this case: failure.

Additional Interpretations

“Unprofitable speculations and employments; little gain for much labour. Promises of success unfulfilled. (Shewn, as it were, by the fact that the rosebuds do not come to anything.) Loss of apparently promising fortune. Hopes deceived and crushed. Disappointment, misery, slavery, necessity and baseness. A cultivator of land, and yet a loser therby. Sometimes it denotes slight and isolated gains with no fruits resulting therefrom, and of no further account, though seeming to promise well.” 6

“Failure. Labor abandoned. Sloth. Unprofitable speculation. Promises of success unfulfilled. Hopes deceived. Disappointment. Little gain from much labor. Well-dignified: Delay but growth. Honorable work undertaken for the love of work with no expectation of material gain.” 5

“Failure. Netzach in the suit of Earth. Saturn in Taurus. The Disks are arranged as in the geomantic figure Rubeus. This card represents enfeeblement and blight.” 5

“Failure. Saturn in Taurus. Netzach. The disks are in the geomantic figure Rubeus. They now represent only the one planet Earth and are engraved with the signs of Aries and Saturn. The conception suggests the binding conditions of earthly life.” 5

Axank’s Dream Recall

July 22-23, 2013
After sleeping with this card repetitively the only thing I found was the phrase “a man, destructive,” scribbled in my notebook. From this note, I suppose this is just an undesirable card.
