Queen of Cups Imagery
The Queen is subtly visible behind the swirls of light. A cup is held, lotuses float in the pool. Nearly half the card is dominated by a reflection of its own image.

Queen of Cups Interpretations
This Queen is for the most part inward. She is a seer, a diviner, and intuitive. She sees visions within the reflections of the water beneath her and pulls out all kinds of information. She feels emotions deeply. Her joy or her sadness will be significantly influenced by her surroundings. She isn’t exactly willing to stick her neck out for others but may have a sense of sympathy, empathy, or awareness to another’s feelings. A Queen of Cups who is having a rough spot will internalize and detach until the situation is resolved within herself.
“She is imaginative, poetic, kind, yet not willing to take much trouble for another. Coquettish, good-natured and underneath a dreamy appearance. Imagination stronger than feeling. Very much affected by other influences, and therefore more dependent upon dignity than most symbols.” 6
“Represents the watery part of water. A woman who reflects the nature of the observer, dreamy, tranquil, poetic, imaginative, kind yet not willing to take much trouble for another. She is much affected by surrounding influences, therefore more dependent than most other cards on good or ill dignity.” 5
“Watery part of Water, or its power of reflection and reception. She is enthroned on still water, and carries a shell like Cup containing a cray-fish. In her other hand she holds the Lotus of Isis.” 5
“This is the passive and receptive quality of water. She is almost invisible as she in enveloped by shadowy reflections.” 5
Axank’s Dream Recall
November 21-22, 2013
I remember I was traveling with two friends of mine and we were staying at this hotel. I remember we were all getting into some risky business. In another instance, I was floating high above a suburb that was located right next to wilderness. My friends and I were making our way through the forest-like terrain when we saw the civilization in the distance. It was then that I began to float—the only one floating—as we continued forward. My perspective let me see farther than them and it encouraged me to float even higher. At some point we were singing a very sad somber song.
I see a few symbols in here the first being the floating above the land. Somehow with friends but detached from them. I know the Queen of Cups to be very within herself, when in deep thought she is pulled away. The somber song we were singing also makes me think of the deep emotions the Queen connects with.
