  • Sephira: Chesed “Mercy”
  • Ruled by the Prince of Disks

Four of Wands Interpretations

Completion, but not the end. Completion of a significant step such as the completion of a wedding, but of course the marriage still has yet to progress. This card marks a moment of success as a result of previous effort (2 and 3 of wands). After the flowing energy of will-power takes form in the 3 of Wands, it begins to exercise its power as the 4 of wands. What we have here is the loving and flowing energy of will-power (the 5 of wands is the harsh and severe version as marked by the sephirah of Geburah). The beauty of Venus graces the enthusiasm of Aries creating a splendid space from which to conduct one’s self. This card marks good decisions, actions in wholeness, and stability.

Additional Interpretations

“Settlement, arrangement, completion. Perfection or completion of a thing built up with trouble and labour. Rest after labour, subtlety, cleverness, beauty, mirth, success in completion. Reasoning faculty, conclusions drawn from previous knowledge. Unreadiness, unreliable and unsteady through over-anxiety and hurriedness of action. Graceful in manner, at times insincere, etc.” 6

“Completion. Perfected work. Settlement. Completion after much labor. Rest. Subtlety. Cleverness. Conclusions from previous knowledge. Ill-dignified: Unreliability from overanxiousness and hurriedness of action.” 5

“Completion. Chesed in the suit of Fire. Venus in Aries. The Wands are headed by the Ram sacred to Aries, and, the other end, the doves of Venus. The original Will of the Two has been transmitted through the Three, and is now built up into a solid system of order, law, and government.” 5

“Completion. Venus in Aries. Chesed. The wands are headed by rams and at the other end doves. The number four conveys the introduction of order into creation.” 5

Axank’s Dream Recall

December 15-16, 2013
I had moved into a really tech savvy apartment building. My move was something I had wanted for a long while, so I decided to throw a get together to celebrate. My apartment door would only open to those who received the e-invite and was high security. The celebration was just what I needed and I felt really good about the whole thing.

This card relates in both the mood (celebration, success) and the completion of a difficult or involved task/objective.
