Four of Wands Basic Meaning

The Four of Wands is about accomplishment. In the three of wands, you’ve sent out energy waiting for it to return, and now it has returned. Phase one complete! Foundation is now settled and firm. This does not mean your journey or job is over, there is still work to be done so do not let it go unfinished or you may regret it.

Additional Interpretations

“Setting prosperity; peace; joy; setting down creative roots; attending or participation in a marriage ceremony; festivals; picnics; holiday fun; celebrations of all kinds including birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, and accomplishments. Building a gazebo and buying outdoor or patio furniture or accouterments; romance, but look at the other cards surrounding this one.” 2

“This card, with its four wands holding up garlands, implies that the foundation is finished and ready to be developed. It signifies the successful completion of a first stage or a first draft, first full rehearsal, first election to a small but significant post. It also predicts that the querent will (or has) enjoyed this moment of completion, celebrated it.

Often this card is read as indicating marriage, this because marriage is seen as the ‘completion’ of the first stage of a relationship. The couple cement the foundation they’ve laid down with a commitment ceremony.

There is a danger when this card comes up, however, of the querent feeling like they’ve finished the project when, in truth, they’ve only finished that first part. Many see marriage as the goal of a relationship rather than the completion of a stage. A reader might do well to remind the querent that while a celebration for having completed this first stage is well deserved, they need to also think of ways to re-energize themselves. There is more to do.” 3

“Meaning: They are for once almost on the surface – country life, repose, and the perfected work of these. Unexpected good fortune.

Reversed: The meaning remains unaltered; it is prosperity, increase, felicity, beauty, embellishment. A married woman will have beautiful children.” 1

Axank’s Dream Recollection

October 6-7, 2011
There were a few teenagers being contained in a school yard type thing. It was closed off from the outside world completely. There was a girl who was able to escape from this place, she had the ability to fly. One guy escaped the courtyard but got caught up in the back-alley before leaving the facility. One of the headmasters went after him. He climbed all the way to the ceiling in a storage facility trying to hide from him, but suddenly realized when he was out of luck—attacked him before the headmaster had even found him. Meanwhile, the flying girl was trying to make her way back into the facility, I hope to rescue those who were suffering inside.
